A Letter to my Two Year Old

Mekhi,

I honestly can't believe I'm writing this...

Two years ago, I was in hospital meeting you, my little prince for the first time and you have changed me for the better.

You have taught me how to be patient.

You have taught me how to love unconditionally.

You have taught me how to be kind and understanding.

You have taught me to always see the good in others.

The day I had you I started to believe in myself more; I started to see the world differently. I honestly can't believe my little baby isn't so little anymore and you're two years old today (even though you'll always be mummy's baby though).

Having a baby really made me realise how much time is an illusion because on one hand, it feels like I've known you my whole life and on the other hand, the past two years have gone by so quickly; it's unbelievable. Motherhood for me has been the most challenging but most rewarding experience ever. Just like anything else, I've had bad days but all the good days have definitely made up for it.

Mekhi, your smile gives me so much comfort. Your hugs give me reassurance and your love keeps me going. Happy 2nd birthday to my yogi bear, mummy loves you unconditionally.
